“Pure, twinkle-eyed joy from start to finish.”

The creatively wicked, obstacle-sailing reminiscers and music explorers FUR—comprising Murray, Josh, Tav and Flynn—found themselves divided at the heart of the pandemic in 2020, straddled between London, Brighton and Portsmouth. However, the lockdown also resulted in a strange freedom, without the chains or pressure of time, an opportunity for them to “be a band at our own pace again”.
This resulted in the beautifully responsive Facing Home Mixtape, a self-recorded “creative bleed” that utilised pandemic-induced pent-up energy, resulting in charming, wistfully nostalgic songs, though they did not quite make the album cut. Then in 2021, the band unleashed their debut release under Norway’s 777 Music (a label founded by indie pop darling boy pablo). In contrast to their earlier mixtape, When You Walk Away featured fresh, energised new material rather than the “mix-and-match" of previously released tracks. Less so an epic down memory lane, and more a conscious move by a band willing to embrace collaborative development, FUR’s debut album was an homage to those murky waters post-early twenties, pulling threads of inspiration from their predecessors in rock ‘n’ roll to weave something new, unified and contemporary. The uncertainty of 2022 also led to the release of the beloved EP, Oldies & Goldies.
Call it chance or fate: FUR’s bright sun-drenched songs found particular resonance with fans in Asia (cue If You Know I'm Lonely), cultivating an ever-growing, fiercely loyal audience that write adoringly about the band from and within many pockets of the digital world—WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram, you name it. Once the light of day broke through the closed doors of lockdown, the band jumped on the chance to perform again around the world: first on tour with boy pablo followed by several stops in the UK and North America, followed by several stops in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and India. Now, the band is once again ready to meet their adoring fans with songs such as Not Enough, What Would I Do, Angel Eyes, and plenty more.
With a live hiatus in the pipeline, this is one of the last chances for fans to see the band perform beloved tracks such as Not Enough, What Would I Do, Angel Eyes, and plenty more.
