How do we tell a story without words? This workshop is specially created for grandparent and grandchild to learn and bond through play. Participants will be guided through theatre improvisation exercises, creating tableaux of their own mid-autumn reunion stories. You will also get to craft and bring home your personalised upcycled rolling paper theatre.

There will be some physical activity involved in this workshop, please dress comfortably.
Mask-wearing is optional. However, audiences are encouraged to continue to exercise responsibility and caution, such as wearing masks when in crowded places.
Liew Jia Yi
Liew Jia Yi is an arts practitioner based in Singapore. She trained with Drama Box’s youth wing, ARTivate and was also a member of Emergency Shelter, an artist training programme with Emergency Stairs. She graduated from the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, with a major in Psychology, providing her with an additional perspective into the human psyche, supporting her both as a performer and an educator.
Nicole Ang
Nicole is a Senior Bilingual Drama Educator working primarily with the early years. She graduated with a Diploma in Theatre (English Drama) from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in 2014 and subsequently obtained a BA (Hons) in Theatre Arts at NAFA, in partnership with East 15 Acting School, University of Essex, UK. Ang is passionate about drama education and performing arts. She is a member of the Singapore Drama Educators Association and is also a core member of Long Time No See Playback Theatre, Singapore’s first Mandarin speaking playback group.
Tan Weiying
Tan Weiying performs and facilitates in the realm of theatre. Her artistic sensibility was stirred at the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan Arts and Cultural Troupe (SHHKACT), cultivated and provoked at the Intercultural Theatre Institute. She believes that art can solace and empower, and she continues to evolve with every work and/or collaboration across various performance mediums.
Vanessa Phang
With roots in musical theatre, Vanessa Phang is no stranger to the stage. She is an effectively bilingual host and with her vivacious personality, adds a unique flavour to her events. When with her band, this multi-lingual songbird spreads joy and good cheer through her music and infectious energy.
