Mengenal Budi – A Collaborative Showcase

Artistari Gentari, led by Artistic Director Bada Hassan since 2013, is a rising force in Singapore’s arts scene that is driven by passionate collaboration by the youth. Known for fusing traditional Malay dance with modern influences, the group has graced prestigious stages like Mediacorp Suria's Sinar Lebaran, Singapore’s National Day Parade, and international platforms such as the 2018 China International Youth Arts Festival. They also frequently perform at Esplanade's Pesta Raya – Malay Festival of Arts. One of the most notable milestones of the group is their achievement of being the youngest Artistic Directors for the Chingay Parade Malay Contingent in 2020, where they were awarded the "Most Lively Contingent."

Established in 2003, DIAN Dancers embodies its name's meaning, "glowing light," with the motto "Menyuluh Wawasan Budaya" (Envisioning the Future of Our Culture). Founded by Abdul Yazid Juhuri, with Md Izwan Sarif and Soultari Amin Farid joining in 2005, the troupe nurtures a group of individuals aged 17 to 35, with a mission to cultivate the next generation of Malay dance custodians by educating them in a range of traditional Malay and southeast Asian maritime arts.
