Playwrights Commune celebrates its fifth year with a retrospective reading of works by members of its collective. Playwrights Amitha Pagolu, Dia Hakim K., Rachael Ng and Theo Chen will present existing works and scenes from their plays.

Playwrights Commune is an independent playwriting collective dedicated to fostering a community for the development of new Singaporean plays. In 2021 and 2022, the collective ran Open Studio, an incubation space for independent theatre practitioners to develop new writing. Last year, Playwrights Commune organised workshops focused on playing with form and writing historical plays, and also hosted work-in-progress table reads.
