Synopsis
At the crossroads of a subdued past and a hopeful future, the Raffles Institution Chinese Orchestra returns to Esplanade’s In Youthful Company with refreshing renditions of classic all-time favourites: Jasmine Flower (茉莉花) and Impressions of Chinese Music (印象国乐). Come on down for a spectacular musical adventure through a flurry of nature and colour.

Raffles Institution Chinese Orchestra

The Raffles Institution Chinese Orchestra was founded in 1982. In commemoration of Raffles Institution’s 200th Anniversary, the orchestra is joined by RICO Alumni, as well as Raffles Girls School Chinese Orchestra, symbolising their past, present, and future. Led by Music Director and Conductor Mr Yang Jiwei, recipient of the Singapore Youth Award, Raffles Chinese Orchestra continues to uphold excellence in musical performance.
