Synopsis

Unwind with 20-year-old vanako while she commences her first-ever show on the Esplanade. Accompanied by friends Marcus, Joshua, and Theron, she presents her fresh originals ranging from pop ballads to jazzy waltzes. She hopes to convey complex emotions and themes such as childhood memories and facing fears of growing up through songwriting.

Indonesian-Chinese musician and singer-songwriter vanako, also known as Valerie Nathania Kosumo, is a 20-year-old artist based in Singapore. Her music is often described as a fresh blend of jazz, pop, and orchestral music, fused with her sincere, warm, and versatile persona.

 

Her recent releases this, ily and If Tomorrow Doesn’t Exist brought to life with her friends, have gained traction from over 200 countries and were performed in concerts such as MicDrop! 2022 and ESCAPE @SCAPE Underground.

 

As she continues to find herself, she hopes to document her growth through her songs and share it with people.
