Here We Come a Carolling!

The SLO Adult Chorus is a leading chorus in Singapore, endeavouring to be a chorus of excellent grade and setting the bar of standard and quality.

Established 1990, the Chorus has performed in the company’s productions, concerts, engagement programmes as well as outreach programmes. In 2018, they staged their first Chorus Concert, a culmination of years of experience performing opera masterpieces by Verdi, Puccini, Mozart, Rossini, Donezitti, Gounod, Mascagni and more.

SLO is always keen to explore new opportunities and welcome new members to share the art and joy of music-making with likeminded individuals passionate about the opera and choral singing artform.

The Singapore Lyric Opera Children’s Chorus has been a member of the Singapore Lyric Opera family since 2006, with the Youth Chorus inaugurated in 2019.

As a holistic development programme, the Singapore Lyric Opera Youth and Children’s Chorus provides vocal training and performance skills for youth and children aged 6 to 25, encouraging acceptance, appreciation and enjoyment of opera.

Youth and Children are given the opportunity to work with and experience live opera performances, concerts as well as outreach programmes annually with professional singers and conductors, acquainting them with opera and orchestral terminology, history and the lives of these great opera composers. The repertoire of the SLOYCC ranges from operas, oratorios, choral masterpieces and musical theatre from all periods, genres and languages.

Our Youth and Children are also introduced to the significance of theatre, set and costume design in opera and through these activities where they discover and develop musical interests while expanding their intellectual and cultural horizons.
