Synopsis

Learn about the different kinds of vocal distortions and how to create some of these sounds with your voice. In this workshop, the focus will be on “fry screaming”, a technique used by singers like Chester Bennington from Linkin Park. Participants will learn how to produce this sound in a relatable and healthy way, without straining the voice.

Rachel is a vocal instructor at Thunder Rock School with seven years of teaching experience, specialising in rock and rock/metal sub- genres. She has over 10 years of on-stage performing experience and is currently the current singer/screamer for the Singaporean post- hardcore band Caracal and the rock cover band Rock Rosettes.
