Get ready for a maritime journey in this adaptation of Ernest Hemingway's classic, Old Man and The Sea, brought to life through puppetry and no words!
This story follows an old, seasoned fisherman and the greatest catch of his life. After returning home empty-handed for days, he sails further into the sea and finally hooks a big fish he names Mari. The fish pulls him deeper into the sea, leading to a fierce struggle with Nature as he fights to survive and return home.
Prepare to be enchanted as the story of the ocean comes alive through puppet play and music scores using only human voices!

Ranga Shankara’s AHA! Theatre for Children
Ranga Shankara is proud to be running one of the country’s most important, sustained theatre for children programmes—AHA! Theatre for Children. The programme is rooted in the conviction that early exposure to multifaceted learning opportunities helps children blossom into informed, creative and empathetic individuals. The plays produced offer visual, aural, verbal and physical stimulation, fostering creative thinking, imagination and problem-solving skills in young audiences.
Conveying complex topics to children is often challenging, but theatre makes it possible to communicate concepts like stereotypes, environmental conservation and life processes effectively. Theatre has proven to be a successful tool in instilling values such as kindness, empathy and collaboration in the youth.
In the light of growing concerns about the ever-decreasing attention span in the era of social media and other entertainment platforms, being an audience member at theatrical performances allows children to practice patience and develop appreciation for the performing arts.
