Synopsis

Join New Recording 47 as they explore new arrangements of popular songs that showcase the rich harmonies and resonances of a cappella singing.

Advisory:

Mask-wearing is optional. However, audiences are encouraged to continue to exercise responsibility and caution, such as wearing masks when in crowded places. No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Republic Rhapsody which was previously scheduled to be part of this programme will not be performing as one of their key members is unwell. Please join us for the performance by New Recording 47.

Republic Rhapsody was formed in 2003 and it is the only acapella group at Republic Polytechnic. They are a group of people who are constantly experimenting with new arrangements of music with a goal to bring the various types of a cappella to the community, under the guidance of Dylan Foster.

Founded in 2018, New Recording 47 is a five-member contemporary a cappella group from Singapore that sings a multilingual repertoire of popular songs, oldies, and local Singaporean music. Most recently, they were featured on Singapore Airlines' Made In Singapore playlist, as well as the 94th Oscars' We Don't Talk About Bruno segment.

 

Currently, the members of New Recording 47 are Amanda Ong, Sreshya, Shaun Spencer, Sherwin Lam & Ryan Han.
