San Chun Long is a Hainanese rod puppet troupe that has served the Hainanese community for more than half a century. With a history dating back to the 1920s, San Chun Long is the oldest and last surviving Hainanese puppet troupe in Singapore. It has performed widely across Southeast Asia, and even more so, during the mid-twentieth century. Today, it continues to perform at various occasions, despite the troupe comprising silver-haired puppeteers and musicians.
