Synopsis

A popular dance originating from Punjab, Bhangra is a very high-energy dance where dancers often perform jumps, kicks, spins and other amazing moves. Bring your little one and have a bonding experience while learning the fundamentals of Bhangra, including the concepts of rhythm, coordination as well as movement in the shoulders, hands, wrist and legs.

Mask-wearing is optional. However, audiences are encouraged to continue to exercise responsibility and caution, such as wearing masks when in crowded places.

Yaar Panj-aab Phangra (YPP) was founded in 2010 by a group of young dancers, who came together with the goal of bringing Bhangra to a wider audience. Since then, they have been very successful in sharing their culture all over Singapore and Asia. YPP has been innovators in modern Bhangra with creative styles fused with traditional foundation. The group aims to showcase their culture with current modern moves to be on par with Bhangra troupes the world over.
