Objectives
This programme aims to equip participants with knowledge and understanding of a lighting system networking, lighting and media server programming. During the session, participants will be able to get hands-on practice on the lighting console and get familiarised with the basic functions of grandMA3 software.

About the facilitator
Low Wee Cheng started out as a lighting technician before venturing into lighting and multimedia programming and design, eventually co-starting Ctrl Fre@k in 2010. His experience includes working on large-scale productions and with event companies both in Singapore and Internationally.
Wee Cheng’s portfolio of work includes:
- Lighting programming for Robert Wilson’s In The Evening at Koi Pond at Aichi World Expo 2005, The Life and Death of Marina Abramovic at Manchester International Festival 2011), Via Crucis (Weimar Arts Festival 2012), Adam’s Passion (Eesti Konsert), Voyage De La Vie (The Generating Company) and Singapore’s National Day Parades (NDP) in 2005, 2009 and 2022.
- Lighting design for Korean Pop Night Concert 2010, Imagine – A Soundtrack of Peace music concert and Praying Mantis by Vision of The Dance (Spain). He was also the associate lighting designer for NDP 2022.
- Multimedia programming for Share the Hope – a façade projection mapping show for National Gallery Singapore, The LKY Musical (Metropolitan Productions) and Julius Caesar (Singapore Repertory Theatre).
- Multimedia design for Soul Journey – Ten Years (Siong Leng Musical Association), Flash: Back/Forward (Esplanade’s 10th anniversary commission), Farewell – The Body In 16 Chapters (Drama Box) and Rising Son (Singapore Repertory Theatre).
Certification
Participants will be awarded a Certificate of Participation for Specialised Stage Lighting Programme when they successfully complete the course and assessment.
