Meilinbear Sound of Serenity Singapore Music Showcase

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Hsiung Meiling, widely recognised for her soulful compositions for Mandarin-pop A-listers, is poised to present her first-ever overseas concert in Singapore. Titled "Meilinbear Sound of Serenity Singapore Music Showcase," this event will be a captivating exploration of her musical journey and artistry, offering an enchanting evening brimming with unforgettable melodies as she poignantly reflects on love, loss, and the journey toward healing.

In December 2023, Hsiung made a highly anticipated return to the music scene, one year after the passing of her beloved husband, Lin Qiuli, with the release of her third album, ‘Carry On (一路平安)’. This also marks her debut full-length Hokkien-language album, featuring a new Hokkien rendition of her classic composition ‘Cry Sand (哭砂)’, reinterpreted as ‘Qiu Li (秋离)’. The album has garnered widespread acclaim, earning Hsiung four nominations at the prestigious Golden Melody Awards and the esteemed title of ‘Best Hokkien Album’ at the Tencent Wave Music Awards. Hsiung and Lin have collaborated to write over 300 songs for nearly 200 artists including iconic works by prominent singers, namely Stella Chang ‘I’m Still Young (我还年轻)’, Zhi Ma Long Yan ‘Nothing Seems to Matter Now (动不动说爱我)’, Nan Fang Er Chong Chang ‘Wo Chong Nan Fang Lai (我从南方来)’, Wang Rui Yu ‘Qu She Zhi Jian (取舍之间)’, Zheng Yi ‘Qiao Tong Wo De Xin (敲痛我的心)’, ‘Andy Lau ‘Thank You for Your Love (谢谢你的爱)’ and A-Do ‘Leave (离别)’.

For one exceptional night, Hsiung will take the stage with the renowned musician and lyricist of ‘Carry On (一路平安)’, Adam Hsu. Together, they will embark on an extraordinary musical journey, weaving stories of their collaboration, and performing multiple classic hits in an intimate setting at the Esplanade Recital Studio.
