Embark on an enchanting evening with the Bedok South Secondary Symphonic Band as they explore a vibrant spectrum of emotions, from whimsical fantasy to heartfelt romance. The diverse programme celebrates the power of music to tell stories, evoke feelings and transport listeners to other worlds.

 

Join the band as they journey through fantastical worlds in Howl’s Moving Castle, revisit the warmth of childhood in My Neighbour Totoro and explore the beauty of nature in Bloom: Gift of Spring before letting loose with the energetic Shrek Dance Party. From cinematic masterpieces to stirring original compositions, this evening promises to take you on a musical adventure full of magic, emotion, and inspiration.

 

Bringing the arts to communities in need through Limelight

Half of the ticket proceeds will go toward supporting Esplanade’s community engagement programmes which bring the arts to at-risk youth, the elderly, people with special needs and other underserved communities.

Bedok South Secondary Symphonic Band

The Bedok South Secondary (BDS) Symphonic Band prides itself in being an energetic and passionate group of music lovers who know the value of passion, cooperation and hard work in creating beautiful music. In line with the school motto, “Success through Endeavour”, BDS Symphonic Band strives to develop its members’ musical talents through discipline and dedication to the craft. Led by their conductor, Mr Clive Choo, the band has achieved distinctions in the 2021 and 2023 Singapore Youth Festival and performed at various community events throughout the years. The band aims to be champions of music-making by fostering strong bonds amongst its band members and the community while pursuing excellence in their musicality, staying true to the band’s conviction - In Music We Believe.
