In 1966, the band took part in the first National Day Parade. In 1968, the Montfort Military Band won top position at the Central Judging of Singapore's School Bands.

Today, the band continues to be a platform to groom budding musicians. Apart from school performances, the band has also performed at other platforms such as the 2023 Chinese New Year Open House at the Istana and Schools-in-Concert in 2022.

Following the spirit of excellence of its pioneers, the band is continually striving for perfection and committed to developing outstanding musicians. In recent years, the band has consistently been awarded the Certificate of Distinction at the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation for Concert Bands.
