Synopsis

The Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ) Concert Band has distinguished herself as one of the most promising secondary school bands in Singapore and has held outstanding performances to date. The band was awarded the Certificate of Distinction at the 2019, 2021 and 2023 Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation for Concert Bands.

 

The CHIJ Concert Band is proud to perform at Esplanade’s Limelight series once again. Audiences can look forward to joyous tunes performed under the baton of well-known conductor Adrian Chiang, including Jericho by Bert Appermont and Disney favourites from Beauty and the Beast, Up and Moana.

 

In line with the school's motto ‘Simple in Virtue, Steadfast in Duty’, the band believes in the value of diligence and commitment in her continual quest for musical excellence.

Bringing the arts to communities in need through Limelight

Half of the ticket proceeds will go toward supporting Esplanade’s community engagement programmes which bring the arts to at-risk youth, the elderly, people with special needs and other underserved communities.
