Synopsis

Enhance your creative musical expressions in this workshop by Yanto Sani, the winner of Suria’s Projek Lagu competition in 2021. This intimate session will allow participants to explore songwriting as Yanto walks through the writing process of pop-rock songs. Learn to understand your own songwriting skills, create catchy hooks and dive deeper into storytelling through lyrics.

Yanto Sani is a true patron of the arts. He has contributed to the scene for more than decade. His latest foray into music stems from his aim to shine a light on alternative Malay music. In 2021, he became the champion of Projek Lagu, a national songwriting competition hosted by MediaCorp’s Suria.

 

With Yanto Sani’s experience with composition and arrangement and the other half of the duo JAGADEDGE prodbydan’s polished production, the two seamlessly merged rock, hip-hop and electronic music.
