Synopsis
Join the Singapore Lyric Opera Youth Chorus (SLOYCC) as they present a vibrant choral showcase of folk songs from different cultures around the world. This enchanting programme brings to life traditional melodies reimagined through beautiful choral arrangements, each telling a unique tale of love, adventure and heritage. From lively rhythms to haunting harmonies, these songs reflect the rich diversity of global traditions, uniting voices through the universal language of music.

The Singapore Lyric Opera Youth and Children’s Chorus (SLOYCC), established in 2006 and expanded in 2019, nurtures young talents aged 6 to 25 through comprehensive music and drama training. Offering performances, showcases, and concerts, SLOYCC cultivates a passion for opera and choral excellence. Its repertoire spans diverse genres and languages, while gaining insights into Western opera, theatre management and design. As a vital part of Singapore’s opera scene, SLOYCC continues to inspire and develop exceptional young performers, shaping the future of the arts.
