Join multi-generational psychedelic group Khun Narin’s Electric Phin Band for a 30-minute artist talk featuring live music demonstrations. Led by the electric phin, a homemade version of a Thai lute, they fuse the hypnotic rhythms of Molam and Luk Thung with garage rock, surf and fuzzed-out improvisation. The session will also explore the band’s origins, influences and creative processes, offering a unique window into the world of Thai psychedelic music and the electric energy of Khun Narin’s sound.

Khun Narin’s Electric Phin Band is a psychedelic Thai party band from Phetchabun Province, formed in 2002 by Khun Narin. Made up of rotating members from teens to elders, the band fuses Molam and Luk Thung with fuzzed-out phin solos, pounding percussion and raw improvisation. After a viral video of their village parade performance gained global attention, they began touring internationally while staying rooted in rural life. Known for their orange motorcycle vests and high-energy sets, the band brings the spirit of temple fairs, street jams and backyard rituals to every stage, inviting audiences into a truly Thai celebration.
