Synopsis

Join Outspoken as they bring their unique approach to competitive spoken word to the Esplanade. Six poets will go head-to-head over three rounds, battling with original and improvised poems to win the hearts and minds of the audience. 

Advisory:

No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Outspoken is a competitive spoken word event where poets compete over three rounds, presenting original poems. Judges are drawn from the audience and score each poet after each performance. One of the rounds is completely improvised, based on words generated by the audience. Outspoken has partnered with SWF and NLB in previous editions and is proudly brought to you by poets Marc Nair and Cheyenne Alexandria Phillips.
