Synopsis

Rap rock dynamic duo Ihasamic! and Wovensound return with renewed versions of their originals and brand new tunes spanning funk and pop. Supported by the dream team band comprising drummer Fireweed, guitarist Hasyir Ibrahim and keyboardist/vocalist Umar Sirhan, they turn everything up to 11—maybe 12, if the sugar kicks in on time. Joined by rap vocalists Axel Brizzy, kozy allways, Khalif Rawi and songstresses Eliza Cuarez and Sreshya, these powerhouses will present a diverse array of music ranging from anime inspired J rock to existentialist lamentations.

Ihasamic! works with visuals for a living, having spent eight years in the media and advertising industry, seasoned by the artificiality of it all. Music is how he finds purpose in making art. Letting the disillusionment fuel his creative processes, coupled with constant collaborations and learning from musicians of all genres that he could find, he more than copes with the reality of life and revels in its poetry.

 

Debuting in 2020 alongside partner Wovensound, he has played for a slew of shows, notably Baybeats 2021 and Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix 2022. In his free time, he makes songs with friends that don’t go past the threshold of Instagram (for the vibes).
