Synopsis

YAN, also known as Yanni Ruth, is a singer-songwriter, content creator and an active mental health advocate on topics such as eating disorders, and the importance of staying positive. She will be sharing songs that were a big influence on her—both English and Mandarin songs, as well as an original song written by her.

Yan hopes to inspire and advocate on self-love as well as mental health through her songs, to bring love and warmth to all.

 

As someone who has mental health struggles and is suffering from an eating disorder, depression and anxiety disorder since she was 15, Yanni had to live through it alone her entire growing up years.

 

Thus, she wanted to step out and make a difference in the mental health landscape, to shift perspectives and state the importance of mental health in our daily lives. She has since made a difference by sharing her stories and positivity online by creating mental wellness content on her social media platforms.
