Synopsis

The E-Sharps are the contemporary music group from the Music & Drama Company. They have notable singers/songwriters such as Dominic Chin, Gail Belmonte and RINES, active performers and content creators backed up by stellar instrumentalists who have performed with heavyweights like Joanna Dong, Jeremy Monteiro, and A-Mei. In this performance, the E-Sharps will be performing a set of familiar songs that are representative of their youth and carry special meaning to each and every one of them.

Music & Drama Company

The Music & Drama Company (MDC) is where Singaporean talent gets discovered. Well-known Singaporean artists like Dick Lee, JJ Lin, Jeremy Monteiro, Najib Ali and Nathan Hartono have all been part of MDC either during their National Service or when they started their professional careers.

 

MDC was first formed in 1973 to strengthen the morale of Singapore Armed Forces soldiers through live entertainment. It has, come a long way from performing on a makeshift stage formed by three-tonners, to a highly professional company capable of staging multimedia song and dance performances, musicals, music videos, and much more. Even as MDC evolves, it continues with its proud heritage of performing for soldiers, with soldiers.
