Steph Phang x Siao Sing Songs

Jamie is delighted to be part of Siao Sing Songs after having had a taste of theatrical composition and performance with The Finger Players' Maxx The Cat and Theatre Practice’s Four Horse Road.

Normally found in her natural habitat behind the drums or on the cajon, Jamie plays for The MadHatter Project, with whom she produced For The Time Being in May 2017 under The National Arts' Council's Noise Singapore Award, Sarong Party in February and August 2019 under Yale NUS’ Future of Our Pasts Festival and Singapore Bicentennial Office, and Katong Dreaming in February and March 2021 under the inaugural STB-NAC Performing Arts Tour Pilot Grant.

She can also be found in various prata shops around the island, discussing new ventures, adventures, and the fortunes of the world.

Jane is a versatile freelance accompanist and music educator. She is the regular pianist for SingTheatre’s musical theatre open mics. Recent credits include The Addams Family (LASALLE), Out-of-Bounds (Fill The Vamp) and The LKY Musical (SRT).

Steph has worked professionally in the Singaporean performing arts industry since 2012.

Her range of work includes teaching, acting, singing, recording commercial voice overs and presenting the Introduction to Harmonising for the Esplanade’s Vocal Focal series. She made her professional lyricist debut in the original local musical, The Paiseh Pieces, by The Second Breakfast Company earlier this year.

Steph currently performs with the Siao Sing Songs, a motley crew of parody loving creatives, as well as local cabaret troupes, Honey Queen Burlesque and Drag Qabaret.
