The Songwriter Music College (TSMC) is the first music college in Singapore to provide diplomas that specialise in songwriting. Led by prolific music makers in the Mandopop industry, Eric Ng and Xiaohan—a coming-together of industry greats and experts—TSMC was borne from the passion to inspire the next generation of singer-songwriters, songwriters and music producers.

Ben Hum 范平庚 is a singer-songwriter with a penchant for telling genuine stories through his music. Being an avid music performer since 2013, the artist has performed at numerous notable venues in Singapore and has also garnered a significant loyal following these live performances. Having released his debut EP titled Milky Way in 2021, Ben Hum 范平庚 continues to engage current fans with weekly content and livestreams on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. With no plans to slow down or stop anytime soon, the earnest musician seeks to reach out to new listeners with a multitude of original music content and covers.

Sherman Lim 林盛文 is a singer, songwriter, and dancer with a knack for evoking strong emotions and sentiments through relatable narratives. The young artist brings a unique kind of enigmatic energy with his calm composure, adopting an unfiltered approach in portraying his musicality.

Where words failed, Sherman’s music and songwriting was a way to express intricate feelings. His first release Wither (蝴蝶) was chosen as a movie theme song for Golden Horse nominated film Geylang (芽籠) by award-winning Singaporean director Boi Kwong. The melancholic soft rock song explores the challenges faced by the characters in Geylang, whilst expressing love in many forms, including love for your calling, your freedom, and your truest self.

Prior to his music career, Sherman took on adventures in game design, fashion modeling, and skateboarding. Hoping to reach out to like-minded individuals from all walks of life, Sherman Lim 林盛文 is no doubt well on his way to becoming one of the most exciting acts to take the stage in recent years.

A rebel against social norms, Cheribee 林欣嫻 is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter that strives to inspire others to speak their truth through music. Her genuine love for storytelling is evident through her heartfelt narratives and melodic hooks. Armed with a unique voice and authentic stories to tell, Cheribee hopes to connect with audiences from all walks of life.

With her first release Birthday Wishes (生日願望), Cheribee continues to garner listeners from all over the globe and even had her release broadcasted on radio station UFM100.3.

Vasantham Star 2023 champion and singer-songwriter Navein Gunasekaran is the latest sensation in the Singapore Tamil music scene. Accumulating invaluable experience in the past few years, Navein is shaping himself both as an artist and an individual. His experience in being a choral singer and an Indian classical vocalist simultaneously has enabled these two musical spheres to converge and take shape in his songs.

Navein seeks to express his thoughts and emotions of his day-to-day life using music as a medium and to connect with his listeners. With several projects, most notably his debut song in Tamil cinema under music composer D.Imman in the works, expect to see his music take flight and reach many hearts.

Learning from her long battles with mental health, Aeona brings a unique, mature and unfiltered outlook to life, through lyrics that tell the bittersweet truth and sentiments of growing up.
