Synopsis

Stepping into Valérie Ekoumè's world will be one of the most interesting and fulfilling experiences you may encounter. Within her vibrant universe, love reigns supreme and it is accompanied by the rhythms of AfroPop, the musical language she selects to articulate her emotions.

 

The success of her first and second opus Kwin Na Kingue and the CD releases of her performances has brought her from Japan to big European and Canadian stages including the Afrika Festival Wurzburg and Festival International Des Nuits D’Afrique (2019).

 

Get ready to dance to original tunes seamlessly interwoven with Mangambeu (a popular musical style of the Bangangte people of Cameroon) and step into her colourful world, where traditional music is a steadfast foundation and love is the answer.
