Synopsis

Travel with the East Squad dancers on an exciting journey to discover the evolution of street dance—from the iconic 1980s New York hip hop style to the 1990s popping/locking steps, tutting choreography from the 2000s, all the way to current popular dance trends we now see on social media.

Advisory:

Mask-wearing is optional. However, audiences are encouraged to continue to exercise responsibility and caution, such as wearing masks when in crowded places. No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Formed in 2014, East Squad is ITE College East’s street dance group, known for their open choreography and stylistic hip-hop. Led by choreographer Traveen, the team recently emerged Champions for PAssionArts Festival’s Open Stage Dance competition 2022.
