Esplanade Presents
18 Mar 2025, Tue, 2pm & 4pm
(Intermission: None)
Esplanade Rehearsal Studio
When they were in kindergarten, Mimi and Chichi were more than happy to be the “weird kids”. But now that they’re big kids in Bibi Primary School, some of these challenges are becoming harder to ignore. When Chichi sees Mimi’s struggles to eat, Chichi has to find different ways to help fight Mimi’s fear of strange and new food!
Mimi and Chichi is a show celebrating the friendships that form between “weird kids”, the struggles they face, and the support they give each other during these struggles.
This presentation of Mimi and Chichi explores the link between picky eating and neurodivergence in children. It also features a series of workshops designed to help kids articulate their likes and dislikes regarding food as well as explore ways in which friends and family can help support picky eaters in overcoming their fears of food.
This showcase consists of a performance and a facilitated discussion with the artists.
