Synopsis
India is rich in dance traditions and boasts various forms from its many states. Bhaskar's Arts Academy offers a glimpse into the movements, costumes and other nuances of some of the more well-known dance forms in Dances of India. A visual treat awaits as some of Bhaskar's best talents present bharatanatyam from Tamil Nadu, mohiniattam from Kerala, odissi from Odisha and kathak from Uttar Pradesh.

Artist Information
Bhaskar’s Arts Academy
Bhaskar’s Arts Academy is a Singapore-based Indian classical dance, music and theatre company that has grown with the nation since 1952. Initially helmed by the pioneer dance couple the Bhaskars, the Academy is now led by their daughter and Young Artist Award recipient (1996) Ms Meenakshy Bhaskar. Along with its teaching wing Nrityalaya Aesthetics Society, BAA is steadfast in its mission to touch lives by championing Indian performing arts on stage and beyond.
