Synopsis

Deep Mind, a group of five young musicians known for their fresh and unique sound, was formed to produce an album of the same name and released in 2021.

 

Showcasing the future of Korean jazz with their amazing performances, Deep Mind offers a unique sound that highlights the outstanding technique of each member. Their energetic stage performances, centered around the songs from the album, are unparalleled.

Deep Mind

Deep Mind, comprises five young musicians from Korea. Bound by their fresh and unique sound, the group produced and released an album of the same name in 2021. Bassist Jaeshin Park, known for his outstanding technique, leads the band. Jaeshin has also participated in various musical activities and has collaborated with RM of BTS.

 

Accompanying Jaeshin are Youngwoo Lee, a pianist who has performed several of his originals in the European jazz scene; guitarist Sangjun Ahn, who placed third in the 2017 Montreux Jazz Guitar Competition; and Junho Song, a talented guitarist who studied in North Texas and has since been active in Korea’s jazz scene. Hyunggyun Kim takes on the drums instead of JK Kim in this performance. Hyunggyun is a versatile drummer who is also part of bands such as Se So Neon.

 

Deep mind released their 2nd studio album Deepmind II in 2023. The album is available through all streaming platforms.
