Synopsis

Skyline Jazz Band takes audiences on an experimental music adventure around the world. Immerse yourself in an extravagant journey of music exploration while embracing the essence of various music styles with cultural exchanges beginning with Taiwanese music.

 

Skyline fuses Western jazz with traditional Taiwanese music to form a refreshing take on jazz fusion. This performance is one where heritage meets innovation, creating a timeless harmony of retro and contemporary sounds.

Founded in 2003, Skyline is one of the most renowned jazz fusion bands in the Chinese music scene. In its 20 years, the band has performed several genres including jazz, funk, Latin, R&B, soul, pop, rock, electronic and world music. Embracing jazz influences from the United States, Japan, Latin America and Europe, the band is committed to creating original music by combining Western elements with Taiwanese culture for a unique fusion style. As the name indicates, Skyline's music boasts a distinctive metropolitan style and strong urban focus and is devoted to promoting original Taiwanese jazz music around the world.

 

Skyline has received international award recognitions including U.S. Independent Music Awards’ (IMAs) Best Live Performance Album, Gold and Silver medals from Global Music Awards and several nominations from the Taiwan Golden Melody Awards (GMA) and Gold Indie Music Awards (GIMA).
