Synopsis

Conceptualised and spearheaded by percussionist Joe Jayaveeran, this musical presentation brings together an ensemble of acclaimed musicians to give their own fresh takes on original music. This showcase highlights the creative and witty interpretations of the core band, Hybrid, as well as its featured artists. Expect cross-cultural collaborations, with styles and genres such as Indian classical funk fusion, Arabic funk, Sufi music, Latin pop fusion and more. With a line-up of accomplished musicians from different walks of life, Hybrid is a true musical amalgamation that will leave audiences feeling refreshed with their unique arrangements and performance.

 

The core band of Hybrid comprises the following musicians:

  3. Eun Taek (Keyboard)
  4. Fairoz Samil (Drums)
  5. Sushmita Chatterjee (Vocals)

  8. Lily Nuris (Vocals)

Featured artists include:

  2. Sai Ram Prabhu (Dolak & assorted percussions)
  3. Sathis Kumar (Tabla & assorted percussions)
  4. Jayagowtham (Mridangam, ganjira & assorted percussions)
  5. Mohammed Raffee (Mandolin and Vocals)
  6. S M Manikandan (\Thavil)
  7. B Vinod (Nathaswaram)
