This event is over.
In this live demonstration and play-test session, children (aged 4-9 years) will be invited on stage to interact with the technology and quite literally paint on a wall. It will be a space where children get to express themselves freely – mess-free!
Isabella and Cherilyn are both storytellers who use live performance as a medium. Inspired by the story of Dots by Peter H Reynolds, they thought: what if there was a way where children could express themselves freely and courageously. Technology breaks through different barriers and limitations to achieve what's in the imagination, and they thought that through the use of technology it would inspire movement and expression. That’s where Tim comes in. Tim works a lot with theatre practitioners and technology to bring a story alive. Technology isn’t just an element in space but it has to be alive as well. It takes a village to make a project come through and with so many moving parts Five Stones Theatre stepped in to take over the producing elements of this project.
Do note that children attending this event should be accompanied by an adult.
There will be a 30-minute guided tour of the Performing Arts x Tech Lab Industry Sharing exhibition after the event.
