Prithvi / "the Vast One" is the Sanskrit name for the Earth.
This concert celebrates the diversity our vast world offers, and the connection between all life on Earth that makes anything possible. Exploring the intimate relationship between humanity, technology, the natural environment and both the physical and virtual worlds mankind creates, this concert also looks at the potential of A.I being a collaborator for the betterment of mankind and the planet, a tech multiplier that brings positive change.
Inspired by possibilities in medicine, astrophysics, genetics, material science and art, the concert features stories from each of these fields, told in music x visual projections and/or text, created by human x A.I in collaboration, with original music by Tze Toh. Drawing influences from sounds of Earth from the forests, sea and the skies, Indian, Chinese and Japanese music, modern jazz and classical orchestra, and fused with contemporary electronic sound design, the concert brings together humanity's past, present and future, and ponders - can all co-exist as One?
Featuring Tze Toh (piano), Lazar T. Sebastien (Carnatic violin), Teo Boon Chye (saxophone), Wu Bingling (violin), May Loh (viola).
