Hailed “the nightingale from China”, renowned lyric coloratura soprano Ying Huang shot to international stardom as the first Chinese vocalist to perform a major role in an opera movie. She first came to worldwide attention at age 27, when she made a sensational debut in the lead role of Frédéric Mitterrand's feature film Madame Butterfly. Since then, she has appeared in major opera houses, concert stages and music festivals around the world, alongside star colleagues like Plácido Domingo, Andrea Bocelli and many others. This marks her first solo recital in Singapore.
