Art Fazil is a multitalented musician, songwriter, and artist with a diverse and accomplished career. He began his journey by writing songs for prominent Singaporean and Malaysian artists such as Ella, Ramli Sarip, A Romzie, Ruhil, Khatijah Ibrahim and Lefthanded. Later, he co-founded the folk group Rausyanikir, which gained popularity with social folk tale-themed songs which sold over 50,000 albums. The ‘90s saw Art recording his solo album in Singapore and his song Sometimes When I Feel Blue reaching number 2 on Singapore's radio chart.
In 1995, he moved to London where he performed at various music venues and even won a songwriting competition at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Art's artistic journey continued with collaborations, songwriting for charity albums, and the founding of cultural events like the London Malay Festival.
Throughout his career, Art received numerous awards including recognition for his music and non-fiction writing. He released several albums and singles, exploring diverse musical genres. Additionally, he showcased his talents in various events and activities including hosting radio shows and acting in telemovies.
Art's creative endeavours extend beyond music—he is also an accomplished painter. His dedication to the arts and his ability to excel in various fields make him a truly versatile and accomplished artist.
